Name: Oneiros, the god of dreams.
Age: Immortal.
Gender: Varies on his whim
Race: He is best described as an Oneiroi. He is not a god, although some have called him "Morpheus, the god of dreams". The truth is that he, and his siblings, are from a race that pre-dates and is in fact above godhood. Each one of these Oneiroi are fundamental pillars of different realities- in Oneiros' case, it is Fantasy, Dream, illusion and the l realm of emotions. Who his other siblings are is unknown to but a few.
Height: Varies from minuscule to 7 feet, again seemingly on whim alone. Usually he 'wears' his 7 foot height
Weight: Seems to alter as well, and not necessarily in correlation to his build and height.
Build: Varies, although the one he is seen in is usually tall and slender (without being skeletal)
Skin Color: Varies from normal flesh colors to opalescent pearl and sometimes dark onyx
Eye Color: His eyes are never seen, although should they ever become uncovered the unfortunate witness would see them as all the colors of the spectrum dancing in his irises.
Clothing: When he is in his masculine form he wears a deep green cape with greek ornaments along the rim. A silver crescent moon locket keeps the cape wrapped around him. He also wears a rather eccentric hat that resembles that of a wizard, with long pointy end and very wide wings or brim that cover his face in a perennial shadow, only the lower half of his face (and some of his nose) are ever visible. The hat has crown-like spikes jutting out around the cone. Like his robe, it is usually deep green. Although both robe and hat are known to change to midnight blue and royal purple on occassion.
Additional details: He always seems to be surrounded by incense smoke, and out of this smoke two figures stand by his side: A smoky well-muscled man that goes by the name of "Phobetor" And a rather cherubic woman that goes by the name of "Phantasos". Wherever he goes, the starry sky seems to accompany him as well.
Powers/Abilities: Oneiros so far has exhibited the power to mainpulate the "Oneirofoteinos", the matter out of which dreams are made of. As well as manipulating Oneirofoteinos, Oneiros seems to be one of the sources of Oneirofoteinos. He provides raw matter for dreams. For this he is known as "Morpheus Ikelos", or "The Former Dream".
Anyone that gazes at Morpheus' uncovered face will go insane as long as his face is exposed (and sometimes for a good while afterward). A notable exception are beings of the Void and those that do not dream, as contemplating his uncovered face drives the observer into an uncontrolled state where dreams and daydreams overlap the conscious mind. Those that do not dream and Void dwellers are inmune to the madness, but instead experience a very elusive sensation, akin to dreaming but not as strong.
Aspects: Oneiros is often seen in his Primary form, but sometimes he divides himself into Aspects:
-Oneiros Klaros, dressed in golden robes with a crown of golden stars, is the aspect personification of the "good" part of the dream: Dreams, Hopes, Visions
-Oneiros Skuros, dressed in black robes with a crown of dying stars is the personification of the "bad" part of the dream: Nightmares and fear
-The third aspect is not seen often but it exists: Dresses in grey robes and wearing a wide-brimmed hat instead of a crown, he answers to No Name and represents the space between dreams.
Role In The Narrative: Oneiros is a Narrator, and as such plays no direct part in the narrative. He appears when the situation requires a character of his power level to appear, or when a successful intercession has been made that requires his direct appearance (the methods by which he may be summoned by players remain obscure and part of the most well-guarded mystic lore). Whenever he appears outside of a direct manifestation, it is often within a character's dreams. Anyone who has been visited in his bed by the God Of Dreams should do well to listen to the advice dispensed.
"May Dreams to go on, undisturbed for all eternity."
